Muir Woods Gateway

As you walk into Muir Woods National Monument, you will follow a boardwalk through a grove of large California coastal redwoods. A large sign (yet dwarfed by the trees surrounding it) welcomes you to the park. Listen intently for the birds and the sound of the breeze moving the branches and needles of the redwoods against each other, creating that wonderful sound of the rushing wind.

This painting was created after a trip to Muir Woods in October of 2021. I highly recommend getting reservations and spending a day in this wonderful sanctuary not far from the crowds of San Francisco.
