Peering Skyward

In front of my house there is an old oak tree that splits into three separate trunks close to the ground (I suppose it is possible that they started out as three separate trees that over time grew together into one tree). Standing in the middle of the three trunks, looking up to the winter sky, I peer through the bare branches and into the infinity of the sky.

After creating the ink drawing, I was trying to decide if I should add leaves to the drawing. Would it ruin the original? Would it make it better?  So, before I touched the ink and paper again, I scanned the drawing, and loaded the image onto my iPad and used Procreate to experiment. More than 30 hours later, I had a digital drawing that looked wonderful. But, instead of modifying the original, I made prints of the new digital drawings. And the best part is, I created the digital image such that I can easily change the colors.
