In the North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve near Oroville, California there is a lone oak tree standing in an open meadow. In the late winter, early spring there are wildflowers all around and on a clear day you can see the Sutter Buttes to the south west, the coast range to the west, and the Sierra-Nevada range to the east, and from north to south, you can see the farmland of the great Sacramento Valley.
The original painting was created in 2018, and was hanging in the artist’s home in Concow, Butte County, California. In November of 2018, a wildfire named “Camp Fire” swept through Concow and Paradise, California, and reduced the artist’s home to ashes, along with this painting.
This Giclee Print of that painting is made from a high quality scan of the painting before it was destroyed. Printa are 17″ by 17″
