Aspen Grove

Throughout the Rocky Mountains in the Western United States there are large groves of Aspen. In the spring, their green leaves emerge from a long winter’s hibernation. As they grow, and as the winds of summer blow through the trees, the leaves dance back and forth, making a joyful sound. As the autumn rolls around, the green leaves turn yellow, creating a beautiful centerpiece for the grove of stately trees.

This drawing is of a grove of Aspen trees, somewhere in the Rocky Mountains.

It was selected for inclusion in the Rancho Cordova Arts “It’s So Black and White” show at the Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Drive, Rancho Cordova, from February 27, 2023 to April 28, 2023. The show is open whenever City Hall is open to the public, generally from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday, and whenever an evening City meeting is being held.  It is also open on Sunday’s from 9 to 2.
