Bird House

While pruning trees on his property, the artist and his brother in law discovered a large branch that had been dead for a while, in which a woodpecker had created a “home”. This branch was cut off and has become a home in a nearby tree.

The original painting was created with India ink and watercolor washes. The watercolor paint includes paint that was created from the ashes of the artists studio that was destroyed in the wild fire that ravaged Butte County in November of 2018.

The original and giclee prints are available for purchase. Both the original and the print are 14″ x 20″.
