Everyone gets knocked down at some point in their life. The true measure of a person is how they respond, how they get up, how they recover.
This giclee print of the painting, “Getting Up” represents an individual getting up from one of those times when he or she got knocked down, got up, and started to climb.
The Original painting was created with paint made from the charred remains of the artist’s studio that was destroyed by the Camp Fire on November 8, 2018 which also destroyed much of the city of Paradise, California.
