The ‘Ohi’a Lehua tree is native to Hawai’i. It is often one of the first plants to start growing in freshly cooled flow of volcanic lava flows. As they grow, the add beauty to the bare rock that remains after the lava covers everything that was living. This tree has beautiful blossoms which can be red, pink, white, or other colors.
A survivor, and a thriver in the harsh environments surrounding volcanos.
